After living in Thailand for a couple of years, a bar on the beach came up for rent. My freind Al and I thought it sounded like a fun project. We thought with a new image and a better menu and more agressive promotion, we could make the bar work. And that we did. On our opening night we estimate we had about 150 people turn out. We had several other promotions which attracted at least 100+ people. In the end, we were spending our days teaching diving and our nights working the bar and it was just too much to take care of anymore. So when our lease expired, we let it go. It was an amazing experience and an amazing bar. The sea water would come to the bottom step at high tide. As long as the tide was out we'd put out cushions and small tables on the sand for our customers to sit on.
